some consideration should be given to filling in the gaps on extended play and some of the other "death doubles" in post. there simply isn't a way for newbies to get better in post without taking their lives in their hands by not making one of the numerous wooden walls on post canyons downsides. the fact is post canyon is getting played out in comparison to what the rest of the freeride world is heading towards. check out the jumps/lines at phils trailhead in bend. that's whats up! safer and more fun for everybody.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!. It takes mucho effort to fill in those gaps but totally worth it. Props to Jim and all other trialbuilders but many people I know have spent a ton of money in Hood River bikes shops because they caught the bug and have biked for years only to go up to Post and pile themselves up trying to "clear" those doubles. Other places seem to be more dialed into making it fun for all levels but post seems to be old school, big suspension, straightlining, deadsailor, hit a tree and sell your bike on pinkbike stuff. You see how old all the videos are of Post. I'll be there Sunday and other build days to help make it better.
